About Us:
The founder of K Communication is Kara Stermitz. Kara was raised on a fifth generation cattle ranch north of Yellowstone National Park and brings her values of a strong work ethic, appreciation for the outdoors and knowledge of the importance of balancing economic viability with preservation of community values.
Kara has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, along with 17 years of experience in communication and marketing. she has received specialized training in the areas of grant writing, nonprofit board development, and marketing. She also owns and operates The Elliott Guest House, a vacation home in Livingston, MT.
Kara has worked extensively on legislative issues, serving as both a lobbyist at the Montana State Legislature for several sessions and advisor to those in political leadership. At that level, Kara has served on numerous boards and committees, both in the humanities and in youth athletics. She has served with others in committees on controversial issues such as school closures, school funding, zoning, community growth, historic preservation, and natural resource decisions.
Kara has received professional commendation for her writings on rural health care, wildlife and cattle grazing interactions, and the changing social structure of the West. In addition to her work, Kara enjoys raising her four children, playing the piano, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, fly-fishing, and hiking.
K Communication contracts additional support staff as needed, including graphic artists, photographers, former legislators, and those skilled in specific areas of benefit to a client. Those who work closely with Kara are highly skilled ambitious people who understand the importance of meeting clients' needs. |
